My name is Andrea Chang. I’m a social entrepreneur trying to solve intractable problems related to health and the environment.

I am currently available for consulting engagements or partnership opportunities.

Andrea-bridge

I have chosen to work at the intersection of business and science because I believe that science is key to understanding problems and business can provide innovative pathways to solve them.

Currently, I am studying to be a genetic counselor at UCLA. I look forward to merging my tech background with the fast-evolving genetic counseling field in order to help people make decisions about their genetic health.

After obtaining graduate degrees in Environmental Science (UCSB) and Business (HBS), I have spent my career looking for innovative ways to make a positive impact on our planet. Over time, because of my deep experience working with people with disabilities, I decided return to university to earn a Master degree in Genetic Counseling (UCLA).

Team Building / Coaching

I have built and scaled teams in both the US and internationally. Above all else, I enjoy mentoring and coaching others, especially through pivotal moments in their careers. In my time leading teams, I have dealt with conflict management and cross-cultural issues, and keep on re-learning the unavoidable truth that communication is key to good organizational health.

Strategic Partnerships / Revenue Growth

I have managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of clients, including leading tech companies like Amazon and Apple, with whom I have built strategic, revenue-generating partnerships. I absolutely love helping partners solve problems … and it’s also good business!

Genetics / Big Data

I bring a unique skillset to the rapidly innovating genetics field due to my track record of dealing with complexity. As more about the genome is discovered, people are becoming increasingly empowered to make decisions about their health. But although consumers are inundated by data, they receive relatively little actionable information about their health — something I hope to change by leveraging my background in big data analytics.
